Why’d you make that Quiz about Creativity?

Here’s why.

Recently I created an Interact Quiz called ‘Is your creativity working for or against you?’ I’m a coach and consultant for small business owners who struggle with traditional methods of time and self management. Most of them are highly creative thinkers. But none of them describe themselves this way.

And, that was ME for a long time: struggling to get everything done, jammed calendar with no time to think, beating myself up constantly for not being able to stick to a schedule or to-do list. I was successful. I was doing some cool things – but I was so frustrated with myself all the time.

Now that I’m on the other side, I want to scream from the rooftops “THERE’S NOTHING WRONG WITH YOU! YOU JUST OPERATE DIFFERENTLY!”

So this quiz is a little scream in that direction. I desperately want people to know that creative thinkers minds are wired differently—I want them to embrace it—understand that it dramatically impacts how they use time— nudge them to start thinking differently about It—and stop beating themselves up for it.

How I did it.

I’d never built a quiz before and was blown away by how easy it was (and how well it works!) After trying a few platforms, I used Interact, which I highly recommend.

The quiz builder dashboard is super intuitive – pick a quiz type; add images; add questions & choices; create the answer key; write results pages; Done! It also took me 2 minutes to connect the quiz to my email platform, ConvertKit.

After just two weeks, over 1,000 people have already taken the quiz (and 50% of them are now email subscribers). I can see in the Interact analytics dashboard that 40% of the quiz takers fall into the result category Creative Powerhouse, Running Wild – the people I want to reach and inspire most.
